(I'm pretty cool)... lol...
Books for Baker Contest will sponsor our Home Library Campaign launching in March. The Home Library Campaign provides children and adults who currently don't have books in their home to receive 5 books to start their home library. Giving the gift of reading is a gift that is priceless and this campaign will help me give that gift to a number of people.
Rules To The Contest:
1. You must be following Black Positive Image on twitter (blackposimage) or a fan on Facebook (www.facebook.com/blackpositiveimage). (Verified).
2. You must update your status(es) to the following: "I support Black Positive Image's Home Library Campaign", with a link to our page: http://www.blackpositiveimage.com/p/home-library-campaign.html.
3. State that you are interested in participating in this contest by Sunday January 23, 2011 by 11:59 p.m. (EST).
3. Collect as many books as you can. You can also raise money for the campaign $1.00 = 1 book. Collecting books ends Sunday February 6, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. (EST).*
4. Submit how many books you have collected (including monetary donations) to blackpositiveimage at gmail.com by Sunday February 6, 2011 at 11:59 p.m.(EST). Please include your name and contact information, as you will be contacted on Monday to verify your donation.
5. Book Donations will be verified Monday February 7, 2011 and the winners will be announced via Youtube video on Tuesday February 7, 2011.
First Place: A ticket to see Anita Baker in concert at the Chicago Theater.
Second Place: Dinner Friday February 11, 2011 at a Magnificent Mile area restaurant. (No alcoholic beverages provided).
Third Place: Lunch Saturday February 12, 2011 at a local pizzeria. (No alcoholic beverages provided).
NOTE: If you can not verify your entry via, picture, shipping slip, paypal transfer, etc. you will not be eligible for this contest. Also if you fail to furnish the donation before Friday February 11, 2011 you not participate in the contest and your prize will be given to a more deserving candidate.
The person who collects the most books will accompany me to the Anita Baker concert at the Chicago Theater February 12, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. Please ensure that you are available that date and time BEFORE you begin participating in the concert to ensure that the most deserving and available person wins.
FYI: The winners will be asked to furnish references prior to the event dates for safety precautions. If you are uncomfortable furnishing this information please do not participate in the contest.
*Once you state interest in the contest you are agreeing to donate books to Black Positive Images Home Library Campaign weather you lose or win. Your donations may be submitted in person or you will be reimbursed for your donation if shipped, all details will be established prior to judging to ensure that all participants are aware of how they will go about donating their items. This contest is to benefit a great cause in the community and we appreciate all the participants who are taking part in this contest.
